hello world!

okay, i try writing this in english today. i was thinking about the meaning of this blog, and i realized that i should write this in english sometimes, since i want the people all over the world to find out the brilliant color of japanese natural "ai" dye. i hope you will be kind to the mistakes in my english writing here : ).

last month, i went to tokushima for twice to "grow" the dye. i use the word 'grow' rather than 'make', in order to show my respect to the dye and also treat it as a living creature. in fact, it is living. tokushima is in one of the biggest island of japan called shikoku and it is the motherland of "ai", japanese indigo. it is known as the starting poing of the famouse "ohenro", japan's greatest spiritual pilgrimage, created centuries ago by a zen master, kukai. if you want to feel the essence of japanese spirituality in the very pure form, i think it is the best place for you to visit. you cannot forget about its fresh food too! i will write more about this beautiful country and its island later on in this blog.

good night!
